If you're searching for a seafood haven in Hingham, look no further than Trident Galley & Raw Bar. Guests rave about the warm atmosphere—when you walk in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and prompt service. Diners appreciate the location's attention to dietary needs, making it a family-friendly spot. Popular dishes like the buffalo cauliflower and duck hash from brunch stand out, as does the succulent lobster roll, brimming with meat on a toasted brioche.
The seafood is exceptionally fresh, evident in their appetizer selection that includes delicious Duxbury oysters and well-prepared Spanish octopus. Drink aficionados will find themselves in good hands with a cheerful bartending staff that crafts delightful cocktails— patrons have enjoyed surprise drinks that enliven their experience.
While the culinary offerings shine, it's worth noting that the management’s attentiveness can be hit or miss; one recent customer had an unpleasant encounter with a manager that overshadowed an otherwise lovely meal. Nevertheless, the overwhelmingly positive feedback about the food and ambiance makes Trident Galley & Raw Bar a top choice for seafood lovers looking for vibrant dining.

Amazing experience here. The moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile. During the busy Friday they offered to sit us at the raw bar, but my wife is allergic to shellfish so asked for a table. Without hesitation they reviewed their reservations and got us a table. Service was amazing. If in the area this place is a must. Food was on point and quick. Try the buffalo cauliflower. Went for Brunch on Sunday and the Duck hash was amazing.

Had a wonderful lunch today. The bartender was very attentive and her drinks were delicious. Starting with the Duxbury oysters and the Lomi lomi (Raw salmon with avocado, tomato and cucumber) which I highly recommend! And for the main course, the amazing Spanish Octupus - very well portioned and really tasty.

Food was great and perfectly portioned. Does fall into the pricey side but that is to be expected. Great spot for a date night or going out for drinks with friends. We will definitely make our way back here soon! UPDATE Made our way back there...quite frequently actually lol. Great spot. Great drinks. Not a bad word to say!

We just finished dinner at Trident, everything as always, was delicious! We ordered the lobster roll and split the salmon with a side salad and grilled veggies, the lobster roll was great! Lots of lobster meat like over pouring with meat and the grilled brioche was so good. The salmon was crispy on the outside and soo flavorful, the veggies and salad were both awesome!!! For dessert (because at this point we couldn’t stop) we had the most delicious Strawberry Short Cake! Maddie the bartender who was also our waitress was awesome! Everything was great EXCEPT for the creepy manager, Todd, who kept walking by our table and staring at us at first I thought he was just a creepy guest at but then realized he worked there. I have a thick skin creepy guests i can ignore, and i really actually love awkward people i find them funny but i draw the line at rude. After about the 10th time walking past our table and not saying a single word to us he stopped at our table with more water, which i at first thought was nice that he was bringing us our own pitcher, and i remember thinking oh he is going to refill our glasses which would have been um... the normal thing to do, but NO not Todd! Todd literally slammed the water down on our table and yelled at us for placing our water glasses on the bar next to us, our glasses were on the bar the entire meal because of how much food we ordered they didn’t fit at the table!!! ummm awkward! And then he waited for us to remove the glasses from the bar and just turned and walked away! He was beyond rude!!! We were going to stay for one more glass of wine after dinner but left because this manager, yes this person was the manager!!! Was beyond rude and made us feel so uncomfortable!!!! So all in all the takeaways Food - 10 Service - 10 Ambiance - 10 Todd -

Our bartender and waitresses kept the drinks and food coming.... I asked my bartender for a "surprise" beverage, seeing that I was indecisive to what spirits my pallet wanted to entertain this evening. Soon, my bartender came back with a Moscow mule - the first one definitely took the edge off, the second one, well.....let's say I felt like I was ready to compete in any salsa dance competition after taking an hours worth of their newly promoted salsa class. The food and the appetizer were filling, so my friend and I were happy to work off those calories by joining the establishments' very first ever salsa class. We were very excited to be a part of this feature event and hope they will permanently add salsa classes to the mix!

Very fun place. They have a good selection of dishes. We got the Tuna Poke which was ok. We felt it was missing something salty. Also ceviche was ok (also felt it was missing lime and salt) The Cataplana is amazing! The lomi lomi is amanzing! I believe I’m getting this everytime I go there. The seared scallops were very good too. The sauce and the eggplant complemented very well. Perfect for a chili rainy day ... or any day. The Oysters were just perfect! They have very nice staff. Our server were was always making sure we were good and the host was so nice on accommodating us on a rainy day. We will definitely go back!

WOW what a fantastic restaurant! This was our first dinner at Trident Galley in Hingham. Jay the Manager welcomed us and made us feel welcome and comfortable immediately. There's also a relaxed vibe in the dining room. First impression: 5 out of 5! The meal? I had the Portuguese stew that consisted of a plethora of seafood and lots of it! Shrimp, scallops, muscles, clams and more in a delicious tomato broth that was just perfect. My guests ordered the Catch of the Day which was haddock. Once they started eating it, they stopped talking and enthusiastically ate every incredible morsel. Yes, it was THAT delicious ! High 5's for food, ambiance, service, price and presentation! This is definitely going to be one of our favorite restaurants and another winner by Chef/owner Brian Houlihan. Amazing!!!

Great little seafood galley and bar. Fresh, local and innovative are the descriptors. Nice indoor and patio space. Casual atmosphere. Lots of cocktail and drink choices. Small plate style for an excellent seafood catch.
